Blyth Celebrates cultural programme

. This fund is designed to support innovative and engaging projects that highlight Blyth’s vibrant culture and engage local audiences.
The programme offers funding through three distinct funds, each tailored to different types of activities and applicants:
Funding Criteria and Awards
This strand supports free, public outdoor events held in Blyth’s Market Place. Open to Blyth-based residents, artists, and local community groups, these events aim to bring people together and celebrate Blyth’s unique spirit.
RANGING FROM £500-£2,500
Designed for organisations and creative practitioners living in Blyth and beyond, this strand enables the delivery of cultural activities hosted in the creative spaces in the new Market Pavilion. These activities should foster community engagement and creativity.
RANGING FROM £500-£2,500
This strand offers funding to artists and cultural organisations to create temporary artworks or interventions in and around Blyth’s town centre. These commissions are intended to inspire and enrich the local landscape.

- Application Deadline: 5pm, Friday 4 April 2025
- When Will the Activity Need to Take Place?: Any time between Friday 1 August 2025 and Tuesday 31 March 2026.
- Who Can Apply?: Applications must show a connection to Blyth and explain how their project will engage local audiences.
- When Will We Hear Back? A dedicated Selection Panel for each fund will review applications. Decisions will be announced by Friday 2 May 2025.

Drop-In Information Days
We’re hosting two drop-in sessions where you can speak with a member of the Blyth Celebrates team for advice and guidance. These sessions are open to anyone interested in applying for funding or learning more about the programme.
- Thursday 20 February 2025: 10am to 4pm
- Thursday 6 March 2025: 2pm to 6pm
- Location: Blyth CVA Community Hub, 14 Market Street, NE24 1BQ
For anyone who can’t join us in person, don’t worry we’ll be hosting an online drop-in session on Thursday 6 March at [add time].
